Adopt-A-Street

The City of Fairfield's Adopt A Street program was started in 2018. As of 2024, approximately 50 streets have been adopted. A street can be adopted by a group or individual, service club, church, or a family. The City's Public Works Department provides all of the supplies such as, grabber sticks, large trash bags, gloves, safety vests and goggles. Public Works picks up the full trash bags after a cleanup. If the cleanup occurs on a weekend, they will pick it up the following Monday.

Six cleanups are required per year, however, many groups hold cleanups more often.

Contact Program Coordinator krees@fairfield.ca.gov for more information at (707) 428-7767.
